Hi,

L9 E-Dating sparked from a random thought three days before April Fools day this year: what if I made an e-dating site for League of Legends players, make it have edgy L9 wording and shadowdropped it as an April Fools joke, then shut it down after a week. The response to the site was way more than I expected, and it's been really fun to see people's reactions to the site on social media. It's honestly heartwarming to see that something I threw together in a few days just for fun actually became a little community that people cared about.

As announced, this extended April Fools joke has now officially ended on May 1st, 2026. I never intended for this to be more than a joke, let alone something permanent. All user data, including profiles, matches, messages, and likes, has been permanently deleted. There is no way to recover any of it.

I'm aware that this might be disappointing to some of you, and I'm sorry for that. I was honestly expecting people to find it funny for a few days, especially given how many easter eggs I put in, but not to the extent of reaching almost 1,000 concurrent users at the site's peak.

I'd also like to clarify that L9 E-Dating has no affiliation with other websites, Discord servers, or platforms. The only existing social media presence in relation to L9 E-Dating exists as a Twitter account which I've mostly used for clarifying some things to people and will not be used for anything else either anymore, simply putting it here for transparency.

I'm aware that people have tried drawing connections between the creation of L9 E-Dating and certain Discord servers or other platforms, which I will not name as to not draw more attention to them, but I personally find it disgusting how predatory these Discord servers and platforms are trying to exploit the desperation of some people by selling special roles or other perks to them in the hopes that this will help them find a partner.

Before all data was deleted, the key numbers were saved so they could still be shown here. Nothing personal, just the totals and breakdowns you can see below. Think of it as the site's final scoreboard.
